Bad news all round...... Sarin is a nasty stuff (as bad as it gets) and really is a weapon of mass destruction.

When I was in the army and the threat was in the East this is the stuff we feared the most and what our whole chemical warfare protection training centred on (you will have seen lots of pictures of soldiers in 'Noddy Suits' and wearing respirators. This sort of kit is the only defence against this stuff one tiny drop on your skin and you are history in just a few short minutes. Even in a heavily contaminated environment respirator filters have to be changed every few hours.. I won't bore you with the procedure for carrying out usual bodily functions in such an environment save to say you try not to go.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/26/world/middleeast/us-says-it-suspects-assad-used-chemical-weapons.html?hp&_r=1&

Quote:
WASHINGTON — The White House said Thursday that it believes the Syrian government has used chemical weapons in its civil war, an assessment that could test President Obama’s repeated warnings that such an attack could precipitate American intervention in Syria.

So what can we deduce from this? Two things spring immediately to mind.

1. Syria has worthwhile oil reserves.
2. We will be asked to prepare a dodgy dossier on the WMD whose Author will turn up dead shortly after publication!!

All the US said earlier is that it changes the odds of them 'doing something'. What that is will be interesting.

If the Syrian Govt have this chemical, there must be a risk that some of the militant rebels will get hold of it too.

If you consider that the EU's anti terror cheif has warned this week that 500 European Muslims are fighting with the rebels and there is a serious risk they will bring their newly learnt terror skills back home with them, let's hope it doesn't include sarin and similar technology.

Imagine that on the tube?

Problem is, after Blair, Bush and Saddam can we any longer automatically trust what we're told?

I don't believe a word of what the US and UK Governments are saying about Syria using chemical weapons. William Hague has been looking for an excuse to use the British Military in Syria for months now. This story has all the hallmarks of Iraqi WMD attack on Europe within 45 minutes – and look where that got us.

Anyone can upload video's to you tube and it wouldn't take the resources of a Paramount make up studio to recreate the scenes we saw.

Of course it could be a cynical attempt by the rebels to create a reverse false flag and bring the western powers in to assist them.

We know for a fact that the US deployed a 150 strong team to Jordan some weeks ago specially trained in chemical weapons with the worry that these WMD were to fall into the hands of the rebels.
