We walked through the field where the fair is today and it is just a sea of mud. I can't imagine anybody wanting to go there for fun

Some of the rides were being packed up so maybe the fair is moving out early. What a shame!

They left the field looking like it had just been ploughed.

Yes it was fun trying to cycle across it on Monday, but it was fine further along the route.

We often walk through that field with the dog. The footpath was badly churned up too. There was definitely no profit in renting out that field to the fair people.

Did you cycle along the Slough Arm of the canal over the weekend?

I think you will find. The fair people are contacted "to leave it, how they found it" so they will have to put it right.

Wonder if Stevens fair is in Hayes this year. Has come every easter the whole of my life, but in recent years has been tucked away out of sight down Springfield Road. It's always a bit cold, but this year.... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... If they're there, I can't imagine them getting many punters.
