As it would seem.

I seem to recall the argument was they needed to build new schools to cater for the influx of children into the area.....

So here we have a scenario where established residents parks and open spaces are being built upon to cater for the open door immigration policies of the LibLabCon party.

I notice JohnMcD has pointed the finger at the Tory council but is it not being rather hypocritical when he would have supported his own party on the open door immigration policy?

Now you know the true value of democracy, the people are just vote fodder to a lucrative job for the few, and that is whatever your political persuasion, a few winners, and many thousand losers, politics is an outdated, obsolete, glory hole for the few who indulge, the Council/Country should be run by committee of people who know, not this hotch potch who are in it for the sake of an easy job, made difficult by their lack of know how, if your car breaks down you dont take it to a painter and decorator.
;) ;)

Don't these decision makers know or value of keeping green gaps between developments.

When I read about flawed decisions such as this, I can't help thinking about a prophetic poem I read 40 years ago about worldwide tourists flocking to see the last blade of grass on earth. It was as scary as it was beautiful and must have made an impression on me as I recall it such a long afterwards. Was the author talking about Hayes??????

Much shame on this Council, the answer is supposed to be in the ballot box, as I see it they are all in cahoots with each other and the prime mover is personal GREED, this by the people, for the people, is pure bullshit, its grab wot you can, when, and where you can, is their idea of democracy. :) :( :(

And the reason the green belt needs to be built on....to provide schools

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-21785796

Quote:
A quarter of a million extra school places will be needed in England by autumn 2014 to meet rising demand, the National Audit Office (NAO) is warning.

The spending watchdog said one in five primary schools in England was full or near capacity and there were signs of "real strain" on places.

The demand for places has been driven by England's birth rate rising quicker than at any time since the 1950s.

Interesting the contrast between the two reports..

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2293613/Schools-250-000-places-short-years-Immigration-baby-boom-exodus-private-schools-blamed.html

Quote:
A quarter of a million extra school places are needed by next year, the National Audit Office warns.

The biggest baby boom since the 1950s combined with high levels of immigration have been blamed for the huge shortfall.

The squeeze on household incomes has also seen large numbers of families turn their backs on private schooling.

Quote:
Were migration reduced to zero, 106,000 fewer places would be needed, DfE figures suggest.

But it is feared that the arrival of an estimated 50,000 Romanians and Bulgarians when an immigration cap expires at the end of this year will heighten the problem.

Councils have been concreting over parks and other open spaces to build extra classrooms

God knows what this is doing to the demographic of the UK.

A very worrying future.

Of those quoted 50,000, how many will have employment sorted and how many will claim some form of assistance ?

I can guess
