Shame they cannot get the Serious Crime Squad in to ask them who they intend to prosecute over the LIBOR scandal....

At 1:20, she asks the question we've all been wanting someone to ask FOREVER. Then a government lawyer stumbles over his words.
At 2:20, she rattles off another one. Then a government lawyer stumbles over his words.
At 2:55, she asks another lawyer the same question. Said lawyer then tries to not stumble over her words.
At 3:25, she asks the same question again. That lawyer asks for some time.
At 3:45, she gets our back and goes for the knockout punch.
And then right after that you reward her good behavior by sharing this with everyone on the Internet. You know you want to.

I like the last point the lady made, where she points out that authorities routinely 'make an example' of small people by taking them to court over trivia.

This storey
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... arden.html
perfectly makes the point. A young woman is made an example of and fined £400 for accidentally dropping a small sachet of clean salt:

Quote:
A young woman has been fined £400 for dropping a small packet of salt on the ground in a car park.
Office worker Laura Howells, 24, dropped the tiny sachet - measuring just 2.5cm by 5cm - as she ate her lunch from a KFC takeaway.
But she was spotted eating in her car by a litter enforcement officer from the local council who handed her a £75-on-the-spot fine.
Miss Howells said she picked up the salt packet - claiming it was just an accident.
She said: 'I couldn't believe it - it was only a salt sachet.

Local authorities spend vast sums of public money spreading millions of tons of unrefined and filthy rock salt over millions of square miles of public roads during the winter. And yet a filthy salt-spreading local authority makes an example of a private individual for the accidental dropping of an insignificant quantity of clean refined salt, that results in a £400 fine.

Disgraceful. I would refuse to pay on principle, if they sent the bailiffs in I would transfer every last penny I had to someone I trusted.

They could put me in jail I wouldn't pay these thieves........

On the spot fines! I thought Dick Turpin was only doing his job officer. Maybe this mob should suffer the same fate. :( ;)
