I spent many happy hours in the Royal Oak in my youth. I used to love playing bar billiards in there. So sad to see it has gone, like so many others.

Is the Walnut Tree still going?

Who remembers Tubby Issacs? Not local to Hayes (was in Aldgate) but you could get food there when ever anywhere else is shut.

Can recall driving across London in the early hours to get something to eat.

The pub on the way into Southall was the Waggon and Horses. It was an old coaching stop I think and had an old 18th Century water pump outside.

The Alhambra is that toilet just down from Southall Station called glassy junction now I think.
