Oh my word :( Thanks Moley ...... this not what the people of Devon need :( A team of workers worked through the night last night on the section of collapsed canal but they say that any more bad weather will cause the canal to breach the temporary dam and the village of Upper Halberton will be wiped out ... Now I'm off to tie everything down in the garden xx

The predicted rainfall this weekend is a definate concern, especially for The West Country. Yet another Low Pressure System is heading that way on Monday, meaning yet more rain.

Please use the Environmental Agency's latest updates for alerts and warnings:

Depends where you live really Jane. In the overall scheme of things this is just a fairly typical late Autumn storm, and really nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately for some in the West Country it looks like dumping even more rain on areas that least need it.

Fingers crossed for them.

It looked a bit nasty for us earlier on but it just seems to have been a steady flow rather than the downpour I feared.

Got to feel for Devon and Cornwall though :(

The West country seemed to have had more bad weather than usual this year haven't they? I remember in the summer when we got a few sunny days(we did honest!), they were getting downpours! Yet we've always assumed it was the place to go for the good weather.

Still good weather, if you want to go "singing in the rain"

No its out of the canal ... the canal wall collapsed. They shored it up with a temporary dam but all this rain means its about to breach the dam :(
