****WARNING****Issued by Moley November 21st 2012 @ 15:00 Hrs.

For those currently out and about, and those making the evening commute home later, I would advise extreme caution as a particularly nasty belt of weather is currently crossing west to east across London and the South East.

Please take care out there.

Moley

Im currently in internet rage mode.

I have just spent the best part of 2 hours doing detailed updates, the first one dissapeared as I was about to hit the submit button, the 2nd attempt said it was sent but has failed to show up here

Is swearing allowed in this thread ?!

Right. 3rd attempt and Im going to keep it VERY brief before I lose the will to live.

Met Office have issued another ***WARNING*** for London and The South East.

Valid from 0400 hrs - 2359 hrs Thursday November 22nd. Heavy rain and strong winds. 40-50mph inland. 50-60mph on Southern Coasts.

In addition there is growing concern for the developing system in the bay of Biscay area I mentioned a few posts ago. Currently this has its sights on Southern England for this weekend.
I know for a fact the Met Office are keeping a close eye on it.

Im back at work tomorrow and will not be able to update further, so please keep an eye/ear on local forecasts in the next few days.

Moley :(

Lol. Can't say I really noticed that Pam but I occassionaly look at the number of views and its heartening to see that they passed the 7800 mark last week ( on this weather thread alone ) and have now passed 7900. They can't all be you, Jane and Kremmen can they ??!!

Seriously though, it really is appreciated that folk take the time and trouble to read my ramblings. Thank you all. And for the 'lurkers' amongst you, please dont be shy to post.

Moley 8-)

Indeed Jane. A number of villages in Devon were cut off by floodwater earlier today and rescue services were extremely busy with many roads impassable, and several landslides being reported. Your report about Swindon via your daughter is exactly the kind of information that is so helpful. Perhaps you could point her in the direction of this topic ? Real time reports are invaluable to the various weather forums I frequent, and information about local conditions is quickly passed on to warn others. I hope your friends in Devon are safe.

For some time now the weather models have been pointing towards a distinct change to much colder weather reaching the UK by the end of November. As we draw nearer to that time I tend to think there may be something in this, and folk far more informed than me are also going along with the idea.

My current thoughts are once we have got rid of this very unsettled spell, probably sometime early next week, the cold air mass will start to take a grip. Dry and frosty to begin with, but an increasing risk of wintry showers as we head into December. Here comes winter !!
