Not edible curries but the big shop near Argos on the Cowley High Road

I wondered if anybody knew what was going on there. It's been closed for two days and there are loads of men doing things with the big Currys sign.

Don't mention it

I stumbled into the one near the Grapes last year and was fairly impressed. Mixing PC's with general electrical goods makes for a more interesting store.

It will be nice not to have to go all the way to Northolt or Slough to visit PC World

Im a subscriber to Which magazine, and I wouldn't touch PC World with a barge pole. They feature regularly in Which, and not in a good way. Just saying

so, where would you go and buy printer ink cartridges etc.? They're handy for odds and ends.

Me too, the latest one is where Which? sent a range of laptops into various large high street companies like PC World, Curry's etc and the results are as expected.

They seem to think nothing of wiping your hard drive without warning and without backing up any data and reinstalling Windows as a fix when it wasn't necessary. Some of them were asked to remove viruses and failed.
What amazed me was the ones that wouldn't boot and when returned they still wouldn't - but were still charged !!!
