Should save yourself time and just post METAR's and TAF's ;)

Thats all well and good but as you probably know METARS and TAFS are pretty much just specialist jargon, and not really aimed at a general forecast, which is what I try and provide here. Feel free to post them though.

In the meantime The Low Pressure system over The South East is continuing to wind itself up. More rain, and more warnings on-line. Its now reached amber.

Indeed. It was more tongue in cheek what with you losing your post and METAR's and TAF's containing alot of info in just a few lines. :)

I note there are currently 33 flood warnings in the South East, 2 of them serious for the river Mole, wherever that is

Its a been a pretty grim day all round here in London and the South East and no mistake. Temperatures 'peaked' at 12.6c for RAF Northolt, a figure which is quite often surpassed in mid-winter. On my drive into work around the Perimeter Road this afternoon the control tower and terminals at Heathrow all but dissappeared from view in a shroud of drizzle and low cloud.

From all the reports I'm seeing West Sussex bore the brunt of this Low Pressure System which just parked itself over the South East last night, and barely moved a few miles west all day on Monday. Folk I know of from various weather websites are reporting significant flood damage to their homes and properties in the worst affected areas. As I type it is still raining here ( Northwood ) and further weather warnings are in place for our region on Tuesday ( June 12th ).

I wish I could offer a glimmer of hope, but while it may dry out a little during this week, I still have my eye on that Low Pressure System currently heading our way towards the weekend.

Moley :(

No captain, I couldn't take the pressure those folk are under !! I have the utmost respect for the job they do. Im quite content with my job in cargo, freight doesn't answer back if you get it wrong occasionally.

Moley 8-)
