Atleast it's calm there.
Here in MK dark clouds are moving over! May start to rain soon.

Weather not too bad today as you predicted Moley although I hope you are wrong for tomorrow as I plan to cycle to Badminton in Spelthorne not much fun going through the Heathrow conservation area in the rain and mud

Well as Kremms Met Office weather app. alludes to we may be 'lucky' on Sunday and just have some light rain showers. Just out of interest where is the Heathrow conservation area ( serious question ). Is it the park next to British Airways HQ at Waterside on the A4 ?

Saturday turned out to be quite reasonable in the end, with temperatures reaching 18.8c at Heathrow with some decent spells of sunshine. However the winds didn't really abate until early evening, with gusts still hitting 30mph right up until 6pm. It was just a relief to have a respite from the rain, but wasted on me as I was at work. That said I sat having my meal in the staff canteen this evening with its fabulous views over Heathrows southern runway, from where I can see not only the Wembley Arch, but also the Telecomm Tower, The London Eye and The Shard in the far distance. Heathrows new Terminal ( East ) is coming along nicely as well.

Your homeland ( Wales ) sadly took a battering from the storm, and later on during Saturday some hefty thunderstorms and torrential downpours bought flooding to parts of Yorkshire. That region may well be in the firing line again on Sunday, and for the beginning of the week the storm risk extends further south, so I will be keeping an eye on that.

Looking even further ahead the computer models are suggesting another deep Low Pressure system heading our way next Friday ( June 15th ) and this is something else I will try and monitor as the week progresses. We really need the Jet Stream to abandon its current southerly track and allow an Azores ridge/high to develop before we can hope for any signs of an improvement to this unsettled theme. It still looks some way off, but nature does what nature wants, and I quite like the suprises it throws our way.

Thanks as always for reading and posting ( welcome to the topic btw captain_flynn ).

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, whatever the weather. Moley 8-)

Well since getting home from work at 10:30pm ( Sunday ) Iv'e spent over an hour playing catch up with all the latest computer models, fax charts and reports, and another 1/2 hour compiling and typing out a detailed report for London and The South East .......hit submit, and the whole post has completely dissappeared.

Thats me done.

So......in a nutshell, heavy rain overnight and into Monday, anywhere between 25-100mms ( 1 - 4 inches ), and a moderate risk of embedded thunderstorms, some torrential downpours and localised flooding in some locations. Rush hour on Monday morning could be tricky. Summer is on hold for the rest of this week as well.

Moley :(
