I would send the form off recorded delivery even though they probably supply a pre-paid envelope.

I would also try and scan it so you have what you spent hours on before ready for the second/third/fourth attempt.

I agree Kremmen. It's good to be able to track delivery (even though it costs)

I remember sending something off in one of their pre-paid envelopes and it disappeared into thin air. The department I was sending my form to didn't use pre-paid envelopes so goodness knows where my form went.

There was a big article in one of the papers a week or two ago about some ATOS place disabled people have to go to for their assesments. The office was on the second floor; wheelchair users were NOT ALLOWED up to it by the security at the door .... and then had their benefits stopped for not attending. I see a pattern here.

It's in Norwich. Richard Littlejohn refers to it in this column, scroll down to "Blowing the disabled a raspberry":

Why don't some of you affected by this PM or ring that ITV lady who posted a message asking for people to get in touch about something else. Would make a great feature for them I'm sure.

Moley that is disgusting ...... you cant win either way - you send the forms back and they say they dont get them. If you dont send them back they cancel your payments anyway and if they receive the form & you get to go a medical then they fail everyone anyway ..... there is no way of beating the system :-(
I hope you are okay now xxxx

It's a real joke Lindsay  They watch you the whole time (thats assuming you actually get there) - they watch how you walk in there, what hands you use to carry a bag etc. Then they chat and you think it's general chit chat - what programmes you watch, do you have a pet, do you get bored, what do you like to do ...... it seems like a friendly chat while the computer boots up but its NOT !! They enter all the answers in the computer - if you said you watch soaps that means you can sit easily and concentrate for at least half an hour, if you said documentaries you can sit for an hour. If you have a pet dog then you must go out every day according to them, you must be able to bend to pick up poo, and so it goes on ...... on those questions alone they FAIL you :-( xx

Trouble is, it seems to be those who are really disabled who are being refused! It seems they are desparate to get everyone in jobs of some kind, they seem to have forgotten that there are 3 million unemployed already. Where are all these "jobs" going to come from?
