Heard on the radio that some guy set all his clocks one hour forward, ready for the new day.

In the morning his wife did the same before he got up.

Apparently Sainsbury's was shut when they got there

On the same lines we had a new Minister at our Church who complained about the low pulpit; he was 6'-4" tall. The previous Minister being a full 5'-5" she used an 8" platform to stand on.
My son and I raised it a full 8"; son who is the same height as the Minister pronounced it OK but just a shade low.
Unaware of this a shorter Parishioner made a 6" wooden base and placed it under Pulpit.

Yes; come Sunday the Minister solemnly enters; stands at the Pulpit and smiles just over the top of it with the comment ; Thanks but I am really not that tall; please can some one lower it a little.'

they would wouldnt they? but the sudden jerk when the rotation of the earth stopped, and wound back so longditude zero went through Moscow. we would all fall over, then they would not be at loggerheads with the west, as they would be in the west, its the east like America that would lose out. :? :?
