I think Corbyn will make Labour unelectable. There are a small number of activists backing him and the Labour voting membership has apparently risen from 2000 to 6000 with the extra people being his extreme left wing supporters.

He will likely get in but I would be extremely surprised if he takes Labour to victory in 5 years. I would bet Labour would lose more nationwide votes.

If he gets in and they take seats back from the SNP north of the border than that has to be a good thing....

Scotland had a definitive lurch to the left hence the SNP sweeping to power. No such thing happened in England... I would have no problem with Labour becoming the majority party in Scotland. That's the Labour dilemma - the more it appeals to the Scots, the more it alarms the English.

The two countries are on very different and diverging political and economic trajectories; unless the EU implodes, Scottish independence is only a matter of time in my view, and it's becoming near-impossible for Labour to develop a programme of equal appeal north and south of the border.

It's easy to see Scottish Labour splitting off to develop along Scotland-specific lines, particularly given that they're now in survival mode and they've witnessed the success of the 'Corbyn effect' which their English counterparts want nothing to do with.

And it would be great to see that Sturgeon woman taking down a peg or two.......

I think the SNP whitewash has actually shown that the Scots like having their own Scot focussed party but they stopped short of wanting out of the UK. I personally doubt whether a loony left Labour would change the Scots voting now they know a SNP vote is not wasted.

I think Corbyn will be leader but he will lose Labour votes and after the next election he will be out.

London for example has a large Labour following forcing the Tories out of many boroughs but Boris succeeded as Mayor not exclusively on merit but partly on people being disillusioned with red Ken and his left wing policies.

Just how I see it

He'll be another Michael Foot. At the moment he seems an attractive prospect to a wide audience because he's REAL and principled. A lot of non Labour people will agree with a lot of what he's saying. But if he wins there will be massive scrutiny of his views and his past which will repel a lot of people. Plus there will be a hugely hostile press. And I don't think he has Michael Foot's skills of oratory.

Read and digest....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Corbyn

Never held down a proper job.

Some quite outrageous views that his current campaign team are doing an excellent job of suppressing.

I read with interest yesterday his ideas about small business ect and thought he had some bloody good ideas, in fact the only point of about 12 I had issues with was increasing the subsidy on green energy.

Minded me to delve a little deeper and lo and behold.... Republican, thinks the monarchy should be abolished. Believes in a United Ireland even though a referendum in the whole of Ireland would keep the North tied to the UK. Just two examples..

Corbyn is in a honeymoon period. His policy is not coming under scrutiny as yet as he is currently leader of nothing. If he is elected though the press will go to town on him and all will be laid bare....

What are the differences in the policies of the LibLabCON? At election time the differences really amount to a lot of words and hot air, largely about nothing at all.

What major policies of Mrs Thatcher did Blair & Co reverse when Labour was 'elected'? Err – not a lot – if anything at all.

What major policies of Blair/Brown did the LibCON pact reverse when coming to power in 2010? Again – not a lot – if anything at all.

What old policies of Labour are Cameron & Co reversing now that they have a majority? Answer; relatively minor tweaks to the so-called benefits budget, but nothing the the current Labour Party would not have changed anyway.

All of the LibLabCON allow the international banks to introduce and control globalist policies.

All of them send their representatives to such secret gatherings of the Bilderbergs, and the World Economic Forum. All of the LibLabCON are globalists at heart. They all agree to surrendering British sovereignty over to the corrupt EU. All of them support ever-increasing levels of taxation. All of them have been involved in launching unnecessary and illegal wars against sovereign nations who were not threatening Britain. All of them refuse to close our national borders against illegal immigration. All of them permit a foreign court, one that is made up largely of supposedly ex-communist members, to dictate what is legal and illegal in Britain. All of them have willingly overseen mass immigration that has changed the nature of Britain for ever. All of them have deliberately lied to us about levels if price inflation, and done nothing to introduce stable money. All three of the LibLabCON have reduced the defence forces of Britain to a level that is tantamount to treason. All three have overseen the evolution of the police into an armed militia that increasingly provides the impression of having ever-less to do with keeping the peace and protecting the law-abiding, and to become more like a private army of the globalists along the lines of a Gestapo. All three of the LibLabCON have introduced mass surveillance of the ordinary people whilst going soft on real criminals. AND - all three of them appear to be very reluctant to deal with reports of paedophilia within their ranks.

All three of the LibLabCON are fully committed to the nonsensical anti-CO2 agenda. All of them are actively supporting the destruction of the natural family unit. All three of them are very keen to corrupt the minds of innocent young children in the schools.

In fact, the LibLabCON all represent three apparently different faces of the same monster.

So why should Jeremy Corbyn be any different, or any worse than the vast majority of the LibLabCON; can he really be any worse than the main body of the LibLabCON and their media friends who are now giving every impression of running scared of Corbyn becoming Labour's leader?

I am no supporter of Corbyn, or of any other part of the LibLabCON. But frankly, can Corbyn really be any worse than the rest of the LibvLabCON who have very effectively reduced Britain to becoming a collection of federalised vassal states of that undemocratic and illegal foreign power known as the EU?

Well of the LibLabCon we can already drop Lib from the equation as non entities, being wiped out at the last election they won't be back anytime soon.

If Corbyn gets in we can drop Lab from conundrum as well once the publicity starts and people start to see between the sound bites at the moonbat policies no one is currently mentioning.

So that will leave us with CON.... Then we will know exactly what we are in for...... ;)

Don't disagree with you Westonman, Kremmen, or geezer466 - I've just cast my vote online for Jeremy as leader and Tom Watson as deputy. If it shakes it up a bit in the short term so much the better but it won't make a scrap of difference in the medium/long term, we're all prisoners of the Global Elite who will ensure that our local political masters keep us in check, more surveillance, more taxes, more immigration, etc .....
