I know Russell Brand may not be everyone's cup of tea, but look beyond the accent, vocabulary, wild hair and skinny jeans and at least he's putting out ideas and making people think, what's wrong with that? Are David Beckham or Ant and Dec going to do that, I don't think so, in fact most of the LibLabCon referred to don't even do that either.
If Brand is so passionate about the subject then the framework is there for him to do something, start a political party and recruit people to the cause.
Unfortunately because very few people want what he does then the movement will quickly fail, and this is the issue.
It's much easier to shout from the sidelines; everyone could do better than a footballer on match day, but if they were actually invited onto the pitch they'd fail miserably. This is what Brand wants to avoid - to publicly fail when very few people beyond teenagers and social activists actually agree with him.
