If there was any way UKIP was likely to win Uxbridge, I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole to be honest. They are simply not ready to govern, even in a minority role in a coalition

But I share many of the electorate's view that a credible opposition is required in UK politics, and one that listens to ordinary folk rather than pandering to the Chipping Norton set

So I will be voting UKIP as 1) a protest to Boris, 2) as a protest to the non Tory idiots who will be voting for Boris "because he's funny" and 3) in the hope that my tiny X in the box will help UKIP gain a significantly larger share of the UK vote so make the big boys take note and change their policies like they did when the Greens were gaining votes.

I think you've summed me up. UKIP will get nowhere near enough to win but if enough vote to show the feeling of what's left of 'old England' then you never know.

Won't be long before a mosque is built in Chipping Norton then watch the NIMBY's
