I agree with you there Geezer. But on the 1st November this year the Westminster charade becomes totally obsolete. And then all the filth on MPs can be revealed and the EU saviour set loose to save us from our own useful idiots, the corrupt politicians:

http://iainmckie.co.uk/uk-parliament-co ... -eu-rules/
Quote:
On the 1st November 2014 the right of Parliament to legislate over us in 43 areas, the important ones, will be removed and be made subject to approval. They call it QMV, Qualified Majority Voting.
Each member State will lose it right of Veto over these areas, so Cameron’s idea of negotiation to recover any areas goes out the window at the same time.

Is this the real reason why Cameron/Clegg agreed to a fixed term Parliament with elections next May - after the EU has total control?

Just another nail in the Tory coffin as news of the charade that Cameron puts out in that negotiation are possible dawns on people.

The first decade and a half of the 21st Century will go down in history as the twilight years of the British Conservative and Unionist party.

UKIP and withdrawal will be the only option once that QMV rule goes down....

The QMV rule is another example of the deceit, dishonesty, and downright treason that the whole of the LibLabCon are all party to. Even the sector of the Tory Party that claims it wants 'out' of the EU isn't publicising the change that occurs on the 1st of November this year. And frankly, I haven't heard anything about the QMV rule from UKIP either – and this would be a major vote winner for UKIP – if they really want it.

Perhaps I should start a QMV thread in order to widen the interest in this treachery by the LibLabCon

We've moved a bit off topic, but returning to the topic, when is Cliff coming back to be interviewed by the Police? They said they want to talk to him as soon as possible, I would have thought Cliff would be back here by now putting this allegation to bed (if you'll pardon the expression)

It has been alleged that the Police gave prior warning to the BBC that Cliff Richard's property in Berkshire was going to be searched, and as a result the BBC sent up a news helicopter to cover the raid.

If true I find that quite astonishing.

It all just doesn't make sense. Why tell the media about the raid that may lead to nothing and wreck a career?

After the poor publicity South Yorkshire Police received over the Hillsborough fiasco (recently dragged up in the media again), perhaps this incompetent Police Service saw publicising them 'catching' Cliff as an example of good policing and may up their profile in the community and across other police forces. It also stopped Thames Valley getting all the praise

Obviously, that is not how its panning out and SY Police are looking even dodgier than Cliff!!! ;)

Because the instant news channels and 24/7 wall to wall coverage allow the public to form a negative perception of the person.

There is no innocent until proved guilty in the eyes of the media.

I guess the Police are disappointed that despite all the publicity not one new 'alleged victims' has come forward.

Although it looks that way, we don't really know if that is true, unless I have missed the information. Would SY Police give any more information out at this stage of their inquiry, I wonder.

The emphasis seems to be on the actions of the Police and BBC which they will be answering to in September when they appear before the Select Committee.

Goes without saying that there would have been a few compo chasers chancing their luck.

Inconceivable with the culture we have that there wouldn't be.
