What got me about these party political broadcasts of late was the Tory one.

"If you vote for us we'll do this and we'll do that"

Hang on - you are currently in government, you've been in government quite a few years and you haven't done 'this' and 'that' !!!

The Hillingdon results are filtering through now..

http://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/article/28 ... sults-2014

Whilst UKIP have not won (and are not likily to) any council seats they have in a few cases beat the Tories in the strong Labour seats and Labour in the Strong Tory ones.
Farage was on earlier today saying the London boro's was not a key battle ground for them.

For a party that was no-where last time round this is still a remarkable result.

Roll on Sunday it will be a bloodbath and they will no longer be able to write them (and us) all of as 'swivel eyed loons'.

After these local elections results we should expect to hear the LibLabCon and their press and media allies turn up the volume of their hate campaign to deafening levels against UKIP and their supporters over the next 12 months. Now we shall learn what 'hate crimes' really look like as the political elite of the LibLabCon become ever-more desperate. I for one would not be surprised to hear that martial law has been declared and the 2015 general electon postponed indefinitely - for security reasons.

Any possible defector from the treacherous LibLabCon to UKIP should be regarded as a potentially dangerous fifth columnist.

Seems some daggers are already out for Milliband and I would expect a few to begin to emerge against Cameron.

Difficult to see who would lead either of them if the current leaders could be forced out. Theresa May has been touted for the Tory's God knows who for Labour certainly no one half reasonable is even on the radar. God forbid Balls gets it.

Dream choice for the Tory's would be David Davis and he could be just the right man to bring UKIP into the fold with an agreement and seat targeting so they do not spilt their vote. Cameron is history until he is gone the Tory party lacks credibility and trust, unless he is removed he will keep spinning fog until the even of the election where he will be forced out anyway.

I'd noticed that too!

I read today by the way that although UKIP got 17% of the vote in the local elections, they actually got 30% if you just include the seats they actually fought. That's very significant.
