I don't mean to be pedantic but massive population growth requires serious innovation in being able to provide the foodstuffs to feed them.
This African situation aside I assume you are in favour of the pesticides and the advances in agriculture which since the end of WW2 has allowed the World population to grow to where it is. Of course the next natural step is GM and that will be along in due course, it has to be if we are to continue to feed the mouths we have and those to come.
And how about the UK should we throw open the borders and allow all and sundry in simply because we have massive space for them?
