Blimey Brian, I would expect if anyone should know how to look after themselves in the heat, it should be you! But I do know what it's like when you get distracted at such an event. In any case I hope you are feeling a lot better now

Hillingdon got to a baking hot 15C today, so we aren't exactly facing such a problem at the moment!

:D A lot of it was "windburn" (my face is still peeling!) it was even too windy for them to fly the Mustang and the Spitfire but just the sound of the P-40 Kittyhawk, Gloster Meteor and F-86 Sabre make the hairs on the back of your neck tingle.
The restored PBY-5A Catalina and Constellation flying by.
Then add the roar of the modern jets like the F-18 Super Hornet and F-22 Raptor interspersed with lots of aerobatics and pyrotechnics.
Plus static walk-throughs.
It did indeed make a grand day out.

The idiot Obama decided to save the economy by canceling 27 air shows by the Blue Angels, folks from Pensacola and other venues are very annoyed, many schedule their vacations around these air shows.

Do the RAAF have F18 AND F22 or was there a US Carrier offshore?

We have the F-18A/B Hornets and F-18F Super Hornets and the F-35 is on order (not holding breath on that one!).
The F-22 at the air show was the yanks but I don't know where it was based.

At the last air show here in Perth they flew a B-52 from Guam two days running just to do two passes.
