In years gone by I used to do a bit of sea fishing. Every now and then we would land a Moray eel and wished we hadn't. They are a fearsome beast and not to be messed with !! |

When we once went into Bembridge harbour one was on the pontoon with a dagger through its head holding it to the pontoon, apparantly they take a lot of killing and dont die like this until the sun goes down, this one as I remember was only around 3 feet long but the girth was around 5/6 inches, kind of puts you off swimming.
