How long has this been a problem? Plenty of time for an amendment or two to one the health acts forbidding potential parents being told the sex of the child. Why has this not been done?
Anti abortionists take note this one simple measure would put an end to this at a stroke.
30 years ago it was not possible to inform parents of the sex of their unborn, it is only the advances in medical science (ultrasound) which allow it now. Why can we not return to such a time.
Both my kids are under 20 years old, we never asked nor were we told which sex they were before they were born.
Yet again everyone in power buries their heads in the sand denying there is a problem.
Other side of the coin of course is what is this going to do to the demographics of these communities going forward? Having many more males than females is bound to cause problems in the future allowing for the fact that many if not most will not integrate as far as marriage is concerned.
