I reckon Peter Bone MP is right - stick this guy on a plane and drop him off in Jordan (with or without landing the plane, I don't care!) and face the legal consequences later. Even if the UK is fined by ECHR or some Euro body, it may work out cheaper than keeping this terrorist in the UK. It's also a huge vote winner, so come on Dave - be brave

Suppose the ECHR were to expel the UK for treaty violations?

Some wouldn't give two jots but it would remove our integrity to be able to lecture places like Syria and Saudi......

You think our integrity depends on subservience to a Euro court?

Me? I am unimportant tax fodder but the likes of Saudi and Syria will! They will use any excuse they can not to 'knuckle under' as has the new government in Libya already and the one that Syria will eventually get.

Why not send him to the US? They don't have any scruples and are not 'subservient' to a Euro court as you put it.....

Hows about this for two faced http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20307580

Quote:
The deputy prime minister has said the government is "absolutely determined" to deport Muslim cleric Abu Qatada to Jordan to face terrorism charges.

"He should not be in this country, he is a dangerous person," Nick Clegg told ITV's Daybreak.

Has this oik Clegg forgotten which party stands as the beacon for European integration and Human Rights. If it wasn't for politicians like him and the way they have allowed Euro politics to evolve we wouldn't be in this pickle.........

I see the Government have started the 'Gay Marriage' offensive now so its clear which way Tory policy is going with that now.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2232194/US-Presidential-election-shows-Tories-gay-marriage-lose-power-George-Osborne-warns.html

You mean it would require Ministers to defy the rule of law and find themselves in contempt of court. Be careful what you wish for.

The last thing I want is for politicians totally free of the shackles of law and order. If there is public support for such this move and clearly there is would you also support those politicians who sanctioned such methods to be given blanket amnesty?

So what happened to our sovereign State status, what right have they to say this guy cant be deported. He does not belong here, he has no respect for his hosts, and now his hosts are compelled to look after him, because these faceless people say so! why do we have to be the guilty party just for protecting a way of life, he is alien to our culture, a square peg in a round hole, pizztakin layabout who has rights over and above the natives, its tantamount to being a legal squatter, erosion of our civil rights forced to look after this lazy beggar, that goes beyond his civil rights, dump Europe I say, lets have our Country back. :o :( :( :(
