I fully agree with Peter Hitchens in that interview, and with most of what he writes. Peter's response to the final question, where he describes himself as not being angry but as being distressed and grieved at the state of the nation, is also my position. It saddens me that the young have to live their lives without any real hope in what has become a moral cesspit of a nation; a desperate moral vacuum where there is no sign or hope of any improvement. A nation that has thrown all sense of goodness and righteousness overboard – even legislated in favour of wickedness and evil. A nation where every form of political 'leadership' is totally dedicated to falsehood, decay, enslavement, and destruction. Our 'leaders' insist on justifying the wicked and condemning the just. They legislate to redefine evil as good, and good as evil. Lies are proclaimed as truth, while truth is openly mocked. They believe themselves to be wise, whilst in truth they have become fools. They embolden and reward the corrupt and persecute the just. To add insult to injury, they waste our taxes on funding their poisonous agendas of deceit and wickedness, so that we are all paying for our own destruction. The really distressing part of all this is; the vast majority of us can't see what is going on, we don't see that our problems are fundamentally spiritual, and not economic - as the politicos would have us believe they are. Our 'leaders' have succeeded in convincing us that to believe in the God of the Bible is foolishness, and so we have allowed ourselves to become willing victims of Godlessness - and the consequences are destroying the very fabric of our nation, and our private lives. The politicians and the elite loudly proclaim that we should NOT mix Biblical faith with politics, but at the same time it is OK for the politicos to legislate against Biblical standards - to redefine the limits of church activity, and to what constitutes a marriage. We mistakenly believe we are being offered 'freedom', when we are actually being led to the slaughter. Because we can't see what is being done to us, we continue to vote these traitors back into power – at local and national levels. To add to the distress, the voice of the church is too weak and too quiet in challenging our political destroyers, it has allowed itself to become unsure, even ignorant, of what we are to believe – or do. In many cases the churches have become willing allies of the political elite. |
