The “Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership” (TTIP) is about rampant corporatism. The EU and the US are currently in a hurry to complete the TTIP 'negotiations before Obama leaves office. If Britain remains in the EU then the TTIP agreement will automatically lock the UK into this corporatist and globalist mechanism. The EU-TTIP 'negotiations' are the reason why Obama came over here to convince us to remain in the EU - all with Cameron's blessing. The informed amongst us will know and understand what TTIP will mean for all of us. However, the powers that be, including the WHOLE of the political class, and the mainstream media have given little or no attention to EU-US talks over TTIP. But now, the Daily Express (D.E) has finally indicated what TTIP will mean for the UK. In short, TTIP will effectively mean the end of democracy in the UK. And it isn't we ordinary folk; it is the globalist corporations. Now perhaps, we can understand why the likes of Google, Amazon, Starbucks, etc.etc. Receive very favourable tax deals from HMRC and HM Treasury. Sadly, I've not seen or heard anything about TTIP from UKIP either. If UKIP were really concerned with obtaining freedom from the EU then TTIP is a trump card that UKIP should be exploiting to the full. I have heard it referred to but I suspect they believe that for most people it would go right over their heads. |
