http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... er-it.html Quote: It covers roughly 72 per cent of the Earth's surface, helps to give our planet its distinctive blue colour and was one of the essential ingredients needed for life to flourish here. But the origin of Earth's water has remained a mystery for scientists, with many believing it was carried here by icy comets that collided with our planet 3.8 billion years ago. New analysis of tiny fragments of glass carried up in lava from deep within the Earth's mantle, however, suggests water may have been present on the planet at its 'birth'. The finding suggests water-soaked dust particles present in the early solar system were incorporated into the Earth as it formed. And the Bible tells us that water was there right at the beginning of the creation of the Earth: Genesis 1: 1 - 10 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament (expanse) in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament (expanse), and divided the waters which were under the firmament (expanse) from the waters which were above the firmament (expanse): and it was so. And God called the firmament (expanse) Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, Let the waters under the Heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. |

Don't know where it came from but be careful with it, it's all we got. |

Saw a fantastic DVD a few months back on this and other wonders of creation. The very existence of water is itself irrefutable proof of design, of a Designer. |

I always thought Earth was a big snowball from outer space and as it got drawn towards the sun it melted, makes sense to me. |
