Note the second paragraph:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-31082941

Quote:
The figures show Hillingdon has had the greatest growth in population, while 44% of the city's people are now of black or ethnic minority origins.

44% and rising ...........

I would think it highly likely that the true figure is higher.

While the overall figures are alarming, I suspect the Hillingdon's growth is down to one thing which has little to do with the colour of anyone's skin: Heathrow. I do not mean that its all those nasty foreigners jumping off the plane and into a 4 bed house, I mean in people living here to support Heathrow's operation.

The figures that determines Hillingdon's growth are taken over a period from 1939 (No Heathrow) to now

Hillingdon as a borough has increased from 159,000 residents in 1939 to 289,000 this year,

With the proposed runway 3 or runway extension, plus the Heathrow Hub plans, plus the huge over development of parts of Hillingdon (massive blocks of flats rather than low rise living) - I dont suppose the growth has peaked yet

But look at the huge industry that used to be in Hayes employing countless thousands... all gone.

The true figure will indeed be higher due to beds in sheds and those who are hiding away and cannot register for anything.

Not according to latest publicity hand out from Hayes Library which shows Hayes Town now & after the rejuvenation has been completed according to those air bushed photos, 3 of those on Kremmen listing are not shown.

( If you manage to view a copy, look at the skyline before after )
