http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... pills.html This story of a grandmother sentenced to prison for 3 months by a secret court in her absence, hounded by a local authority, physically abused by the police and 'security personnel' (who are probably employed by foreign owned private organisation), and jailed for three days without proper care and medical attention. Is this the true face of Britain in 2015; is this a reason to hope for a happy New Year? A defenceless 72 year old woman is a soft and easy target for our overly officious and courageous justice system, while true terrorists are given the kid-glove treatment and state aid. |

That is disgraceful. I hope the BBC gets hold of this and puts it on mainstream TV |

Is this the same family where the father was jailed just for waving at his daughter... who is desperate to be with him? Social workers and judges really can have hearts of ice cold stone. |

Yes Jon, this is the father who was jailed for waving to his daughter. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... nager.html Grandmother jailed for giving a hug: Quote: A grandmother has been sentenced to three months in prison after she was filmed giving her granddaughter a hug. Kathleen Danby, 72, was jailed by the secretive Court of Protection, which decided she had disobeyed its order that she should not see the teenager. Under a draconian judgment kept secret from the public, Mrs Danby had been banned from making contact with the girl, who is 18 but has learning difficulties. She was told she could only speak to her on the phone once a month at a set time, with social workers listening in. Mrs Danby was ordered back to court when social workers heard that she had met the girl at a model railway exhibition. Police also presented CCTV footage of her hugging her granddaughter outside a pub. Mrs Danby was not at the hearing in Birmingham in April to give her version of events but Judge Martin Cardinal said the CCTV showed she was in contempt. He ordered that she be jailed for three months and issued a warrant for her arrest. However Mrs Danby, who lives in Orkney, said yesterday that no police officers had arrived to execute the warrant. ‘I haven’t been jailed simply because I refused to go down there to court,’ she said, adding that she would refuse to go to prison simply for making contact with her granddaughter. Protective father loses daughter; father later jailed for waving: Quote: Mrs Danby said the girl was moved into care in Derbyshire in 2007, when she was 11, a year after being removed from her father in Orkney. He was banned from seeing her after he was convicted for ill-treatment for restraining her from running into a busy road while she was having a temper tantrum, Mrs Danby said. She said it was a ‘spurious excuse’, adding: ‘Social services completely cut off contact which was of course cruel to her in the extreme.’ The girl’s father has been jailed twice for trying to contact her – once for waving at her taxi as she travelled to school – she said. The teenager was in the care home against her will and had run away 175 times, Mrs Danby said. Judge Cardinal has previous form: Quote: Judge Cardinal is the judge who sent Wanda Maddocks to jail in secret for trying to free her 80-year-old father from a care home where she feared his life was at risk. Judge Cardinal jailed Miss Maddocks without publishing her name or making any details of her contempt public. She served six weeks in jail. The case came to light more than six months later and led to new rules so that no one may ever again be imprisoned without their name being published. It would seem that not only does thise judge have a heart of stone, but Social Services are equally brutal and callous. Another report here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... tempt.html |

Kremmen wrote: That is disgraceful. I wouldn't put too much hopeor trust in the BBC Kremmen. There have been other equally distressing news reports where innocent victims have been persecuted by the courts and local authorities; cases where the BBC have been purposely contacted and questioned as to why they will not report the case and relevent details. I hope the BBC gets hold of this and puts it on mainstream TV As an example, Google 'Melanie Shaw' + 'Nottingham' for more details. Melanie Shaw was an abused child when in the care of Nottingham Social Services; who later turned adult whistleblower, she then attracted the vicious attention of Nottingham Police, the CPS, and Nottingham Court. There are other cases too where the BBC gets very cold feet, especailly when there are reports of organised child abuse involved. |

The problem here is the secretive nature of the family courts. Because of it we simply don't know. The granny was sentenced to 3 Months but spent just two nights in prison. There may be good reasons as to why access is severely limited in this way, what if for example (and I speculate wildly in the absence of hard facts) these members of the family are serial abusers? Maybe the harsh sentence is because of consistent breaking of a court injunction? As I say we simply cannot know. Interesting the Mail reports that the family are from Orkney and not by accident I think. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-23958348 http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/real- ... al-1099361 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orkney_child_abuse_scandal And what appears to be most damning of all... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/th ... 59959.html Quote: The Government promised yesterday that the report would be a major influence on a White Paper that would overhaul legislation on the emergency protection of children. A crucial element is Lord Clyde's suggestion that courts become more actively involved in the quest for place-of-safety orders for suspected abuse victims. In a move which appears to weaken the role of Scotland's unique children's panel system, he recommends that sheriffs, not justices of the peace, hear requests for children to be removed from their families and that social workers provide more documented material to sheriffs when seeking orders. This was in 1992. Was the legislation ever overhauled? |

Secret justice is not just, it is oppression. As for the possibility of child abuse at home by family members; there are more than enough reports out there to suggest that the very authorities that claim they are working to protect children are themselves involved in organised child abuse. That includes local authorities and their SS: the police, who have on too many occasions now to be accidental have closed down investigations on child abuse cases that should never have been closed down: the CPS, whose tactics and behaviour on occasions have been nothing less than disgraceful: and the courts. All of these official bodies have sufficiently serious questions hanging over them as to warrant a fully independent and open public inquiry; preferably taking the form of a Common Law Grand Jury that is truly, and totally independent of all officialdom. I have no idea why Lady Butler-Sloss is now reported as saying, “There was an Establishment cover-up of horrific child abuse because powerful figures looked after themselves...”. But the fact she is reported to have said this ought to result in a free and fully independent and open public inquiry into the Establishment's involvment with organised child abuse. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... chief.html Quote: There was an Establishment cover-up of horrific child abuse because powerful figures looked after themselves, former judge Lady Butler-Sloss warned today.
Senior members of British society in the past did not think child abuse was as serious or important as protecting politicians and other members of the elite, she suggested. |
