Has anyone else noticed how the BBC has been promoting "the benefits" of immigration over the last few days?

I have been convinced for some time that the BBC is the propagander mouthpiece of succesive governments. The climate change/global warming myth overtly supported by the BBC is proof positive of the BBC's untrustworthiness as a news source.

They will have been tipped the wink to promote this sort of stuff to halt the expanse of UKIP.

After all could you imagine the BBC doing a documentary like the Ch 5 benefits Britain which featured the Roma gypsy intent on conning £40,000 from the welfare state and contained tips on how to commits tax credit fraud?

Scam works with matey arriving and being put in a house with 20+ others from their Eastern Euro Country of origin. Many are then set to work (self employed) at the various car valeting services and other small trader type operations you see springing up all over the place (some sell the big issue, other wash windscreens on the A406, all are capable of being declared as self employed which gives access to the benefit system).

After a few weeks they can then claim working and child tax credit. Working if they are on low earnings (which they almost certain are) and child tax credit for dependant children even though they do not specifically have to be resident in the UK. 3,4 or more children can earn them £500 - £1000 a Month in tax credits which they send home.

It's why we see so many overcrowded home homes with single men 6 or 7 to a bedroom. They leave the families back home, are only here for the low paid work (which in the main does not benefit the economy) but are able to draw large sums from the welfare state to send home without having the large living costs which some with living in this Country.

None of this is illegal of course, the only real attraction is our benefit system is 'needs assessed', pretty much every other in the EU is 'contribution assessed' You can't get back out what you haven't put in, this is why of course the UK is so attractive.

Only fair to point out that there are also many home grown feckless who have taken advantage of this to get the tax credits providing very little to the economy but getting access to the system. The difference is they will have significantly higher living costs.

I must say I like your posting geezer - one of your points raises an interesting question: why aren't we like the rest of the EU and "contribution based" rather than "needs assessed"?

Simply the way our benefit system evolved over the years.

Pretty much the same with the NHS being free at the point of use for everyone who is entitled. Even those who are not get to take advantage of its services and are billed later (which they do or do not pay).

This Government has at least tried to instil some changes with universal credit which would help the matter, but the DWP/HMRC has not mastered the computer systems (Despite assurances to the contrary) to make it work so another total failure at huge expense.

Just one of many stories doing the rounds on what a crock of ....... it is.
