What if Thatcher had never come to power and Labour had won the 1979 election....

Pure fictional account but well written and believable nonetheless.

Quote:
Dawn is breaking in Puerto Argentino, the town its former inhabitants once knew as Port Stanley. At the tiny airport, a gigantic mural commemorates the soldiers from the mainland who lost their lives in the battle for the Malvinas, or the Falklands, as they used to be called.

Next to the old Anglican cathedral (now Catholic), a gigantic blue and white flag flutters. In the square nearby, a statue of General Leopoldo Galtieri gazes impassively out to sea.

Today, in 2013, the world remembers General Galtieri as one of the defining personalities of the Eighties, a strong leader who, by recapturing the Malvinas, set his stamp on the age.

For Britain, however, it was a dreadful decade — perhaps the worst in our modern history, and one that set the tone for years to come.

There would be very little difference today if Mrs Thatcher had not been PM. The only difference Mrs Thatcher made was to the timing of events.

Water, gas, electricity, telephones, and railways would all have been privatised and sold off to foreign ownership because of various EU directives that came later. The Royal Mail is curently being prepaired for the same end. UK courts and the whole so-called justice system would have been handed over to EU control – as they have been. Immigration would have been as out of control as it is today because it is EU policy. British industry would have been destroyed without Mrs T because that is EU and globalist policy. The economic crash would have occurred just the same - because it was engineered that way.

The moral decline of the nation may even have been accelerated without Mrs T. And the dummed education system would certainly be equally bad as it is today.

Many of those celebrating the death of Thatcher today make reference to her destruction of coal mining and the mining communities are really living a lie. The UN's anti-CO2 Agenda 21 that is so whole-heartedly supported by all of Mrs T's political opponents, would have seen the end of coal mining anyway. The difference made by Mrs T was only a matter of timing. The Libs, Labs, and most of the Cons, are aggressively anti-carbon dioxide, and pro so-called renewable sources of energy that coal mining was destined for destruction under a Labour, Liberal or Conservative government.

Sadly, Mrs T's long-term significance in the political and moral direction of the UK is really quite minimal in truth. The EU flag will fly over a destroyed UK anyway.
