Standard rule in a factory or job site; If affected by drink or drugs instant dismissal for cause. ie No Severance or Notice.

Injured workers benefit is automatically disallowed if you are injured on the job site with ANY alcohol in your system !

As a manager I could be sued for permitting a worker affected by alcohol or drugs on the work site !

Looking at the laws coming out of Parliament these days maybe these rules should have been invoked years ago.

I have had to deal with alcohol affected employees in the work place on two separate occasions. The first action is to remove them from the work place for their own protection and the protection of all other employees. The next step, after they have sobered up, is the disciplinary process.

I really don't understand how MPs can get away with having access to alcohol, in what is in effect, their place of work.
