Indeed.

And Jim, no one could ever accuse Farage of saying things just because people want to hear it.

He can come over as a bit of a buffoon in the Euro parliament and whilst he is playing to an audience this is both his strength and weakness at the same time.

He talks a lot of sense and understands the problems with the European dimension well but he will put a lot of people off who don't have the same understanding in the way he delivers the message.

I have largely stopped watching BBC's Question Time. Because Nigel Farrage was on the panel I did watch QT last evening.

All the panellists were representatives from political parties: Natalie Bennett (Greens); Luciana Berger (Lab); Simon Hughes (Lib); Sajid Javid (Con); and Nigel Farrage (UKIP). With the current liberal left leaning of Cameron's Conservative Party the panel formed a heavy bias against Nigel Farrage.

Only three questions were asked of the panel during the whole program, and Nigel Farrage found himself in a solid minority of one against all the other four panel panellists. Some of the time there was close to open hostility displayed towards Nigel Farrage by the other panellists on points he made that I suspect will resonate with a large section of the UK electorate. I perceive that the Labs and Cons are very concerned about the impact that UKIP is having. The Green representative resorted to shouting down Nigel Farrage.

Natalie Bennett, the Leader of the Green Party, succeeded in demonstrating what a thoroughly nasty individual she is. Since Green is a disguise for Red Marxism, Natalie Bennett's outbursts towards Nigel Farrage really came as no surprise.

Simon Hughes is now a tired old voice from the Left, who I suspect, relatively few members of the electorate will take seriously any more.

Luciana Berger gave me the impression that she was there because of appearance, and not for what she knows or believes.

Sajid David was largely defending the indefensible of his party's failed policies.

Nigel Farrage and UKIP are definitely unsettling the leftist europhile parties. So UKIP must be doing a lot that is right.

They were just like a load of spoiled kids used to having things their own way who now find they are up against somebody of substance whose argument they can't get the better of, or tolerate.

Nigel did very much keep his cool, which only served to anger the other panellists, especially the loud brash Green.

The whole program was very disappointing as usual, with the only bright interludes coming from Nigel Farrage.

I don't believe for one moment, that even if elected to overall power, UKIP could reverse the damage done by the LibLabCon Party. The Left, under the influence of the LibLabCon, have succeeded in changing the culture of Britain so much that any attempt to reverse the culture change will bring the thugs out onto the streets. But I shall be voting UKIP at the first opportunity, assuming UKIP put up a candidate in my area. Neither shall I be voting for any of the LibLabConGreens again, even if UKIP don't put up a candidate.

If UKIP are not fielding a candidate in your area Westonman then you know what to do.. ;)

I wasn't aware he was on QT last night as I also rarely watch it these days other than in the run up to General Elections to see what lies the main streams will peddle next. I will try and get to see this on the iplayer.

Lets hope the elections between now and the biggie in 2015 spell the end of the Lib Dems and the Greens in that they are no longer 'to be considered' serious alternatives.

Farage needs to concentrate on the way he comes across and from your description about his performance last night it seems that he is having some success.

I will reserve my judgment until its time to vote, the first rule of campaigning, tell em wot they want to hear, expand on the popular, play down the not so popular, everything in our garden flourishing so follow us is the message, they all say the same, while their policies are different, they cant all be right, but they can all be wrong. voter beware. :( ;)

The three Lib-Lab-Cons have not only proven themselves to be unworthy of our vote and trust; all three of them have proven themselves to be out-and-out traitors to the British people as to not even be worth entering into a dialogue with. None of them even speak the same language as the electorate because the LibLabCon politicians attach completely different meanings to words from ordinary folk.

As I previously indicated, even with all the best will in the world, and assuming UKIP gained overall power in Westminster, there is no way that UKIP would be able to reverse all the damage done to Britain. At least UKIP are apparently offering the possibility of a reversal in political direction. And UKIP are untried in power and therefore have no lying baggage or treason to have to defend. As I told my Conservative MP, a vote for his and the other two main parties is a vote for known deceivers and expense fiddlers. For me to continue to support the LibLabCon either makes me a completely taken-in fool, or every bit a traitor as those who have given Britain over to a foreign power against the wishes of the British people. At least UKIP are recognising that Britain has been handed over to a foreign power (the EU) without reference to the electorate. And UKIP publicly acknowledge that the UK economy would be significantly more healthy without the economic burden that the EU places upon the UK.

For me, unless UKIP somehow align themselves with the treason committed by the LibLabCon, there is no rational choice at any future election but to cast a vote for UKIP.

Never before has there been such a low perception of British politics, my Dad always said you vote for one set of crooks, or another set of crooks, but now its so obvious, we make our mistake with our eyes wide open, so far we have come since the early days, the majority have cottoned on the polls now have such low percentages, covered by the announcement the winner had a 60% majority, and not 60% of the 60% who voted, so the elected got in with 36% of the possible voters, DEMOCRACY ??

Very true! And who is responsible for the low public opinion of politicians? Answer: the deceitful, dishonest, lying, two-faced, treacherous, conniving people who have occupied the political sphere since WWII. And still they continue to deceive us, with the latest lying scam being that of global warming/climate change.

When we consider there has been a monumental and negative shift in the moral paradigm within the minds of the general public since WWII, and yet the public still finds the antics and treachery of the politicians distasteful, to the point of revulsion; it really does say a lot about the political world.

I don't believe for one moment that UKIP is the answer, but I do hope that UKIP causes real fear and consternation in the ranks and hearts of the LibLabCon. Even better would be a Godly fear to fall upon the political elite; because at some point they are certainly going to have to give account for their actions, whether they agree or not.
