I have been reading little into this subject over the last 24 hours or so.

Some of you may be aware that Operation Yewtree has thus far focused on tv celebrities following the Saville expose. There is a wider opinion that this abuse went much deeper and right into the heart of the establishment including politicians some very senior (and an accusation has already been levelled in the house) and senior judiciary.

Some other sources claim there is infighting going on in the Met currently as some of them want to feel some of these persons collars but are being leant on to leave them be.

Bit of a leap here but what if some authorities are using measures like this to appropriate children for nefarious means? Sounds disgusting doesn't it? but then so is the content of the video in post 1 and the known goings on in many children's homes around the UK.

These are FOI requests to Staffordshire council asking about why they take these children and in the main they ignore...

I only watched 10 minutes of the film and I really want to trust the council officials. I want to believe that there is an issue here so serious that the newborn is at imminent and grave risk of harm.

Then I wondered why on earth was the mum was allowed to bring the baby home from the maternity unit if something was so wrong (assuming it wasn't a home birth)

But most of all I thought of Mark Neary, who you may recall posted on WestLondonChat for a while some time back. His son Stephen who has a learning disability was unlawfully detained by high handed LB Hillingdon officials who said Stephen was a high risk to the community after a minor incident. Some would say that Hillingdon were trying to be first at using a new law, and in their haste, they chose the wrong case, or perhaps it was just incompetence. The result was that Stephen was imprisoned and kept away from his beleaguered and stressed family for a year and the LBH did all they could to frustrate Mark's attempt at seeking justice.

Ok, this is not the removal of a new baby, but the case demonstrates that just because a council says there is a high risk is no guarantee that there is one
