What would would be the point in investing in the bus service before they sort out the feral youths who vandalise them and intimidate other people using them. Most of the buses plying the local area are in a terrible state with the windows all scratched and graffiti all over them.
The point is that the result of 1 £billion would be available to everyone, not just to a small minority of the population. There are very many people - some are some of he most vulnerable in the community - who are forced to use buses. I would imagine, £1b would go a long way in improving & installing more bus shelters with benches and bus indicators signs. Perhaps even a few more buses, drivers and even routes. Perhaps priority traffic lights for buses and bus lane improvements. And for your feral youth problem Geezer, perhaps AK 47s could be mounted next to the ticket machines and operated by the driver

The vast majority of cyclists are young and obviously fit. It seems to me that looking after the more vulnerable people in society - whilst also making the improved bus network for all Londoners - it's a much fairer way to go
