I get the same looks at Mount Vernon and Hillingdon.

I drop her off at the door. I then go to the disabled bays and park and catch her up. Whether that is right or wrong I don't know.

We then tend to walk together to the car afterwards so that bit is OK

Well i used to drop my wife off at the hospital entrance , see her inside , then park in the pay and display , or pay
as she was not in the car , and i am fit
after her treatment , would get the car and meet her at the door ,
Same if i took her to the shops , i never did get why people with blue badges Park on a main road when they can park in a side road , very near , and not hold up traffic

The instructions you get when you have a Blue Badge ask you to park considerately and point out that the Blue Badge is not a licence to park just anywhere (I forget the exact wording)

When I was working as a parking attendant ... the only time I ever got called a C##t was by a man displaying a Blue badge, parked in a loading bay. A lorry waiting to genuinely unload was then blocking traffic .... as I was issuing a ticket on the car the man came hurrying back :) He wasn't happy and seemed to think he could park anywhere .....

That's the thing, you can break some rules but you need to apply some common sense
