Uncle: Glad it worked out for you

I have been unable to take my annual holidays in the summer this year and now have 2 weeks booked in November. I have worked longer hours and been on standby from home. I have earned a few quid for being available at home overnight & weekends. This requires me to stay sober and in the London area, all for a massive £15 a time allowance (before tax!!).

And all because of the games & paralympics. I will not remember summer 2012 with the same fondness as you, as it's been a pain in the you-know-where for me

Why on earth would anyone think the medal winners should get am MBE etc
all they did was compete to win for them selfs , country second , you should only get an award , if you have , devoted a few years , un paid for others , at least 10 i would say

The BBC asked some punters in Uxbridge what they felt about the honours 4 medals debate - and one lady got in spot on when she said their sporting medals should be enough.

Bradley Wiggins should be the exception perhaps due to his unprecedented (and amazing) success in the Tour De France days before the games started
